The Infotropy Project

The central claim: genuine structural continuity exists across the two persistence regimes of the universe, and the two entropies — Boltzmann's and Shannon's — are local phase shifts within it. That continuity can be identified, tested, and confirmed.

This claim is supported by substantial evidence: 20+ structural patterns confirmed across 12 domains, a partition hypothesis confirmed from five independent angles, six specific predictions that hold. It is not yet established as a law. The seam is mapped but not yet fully bridged. The scope is large and the evidence is growing.

The Infotropy Project is the research and discovery effort built to test this claim — to find where the structural continuity holds, where it breaks, and what it cannot yet explain. Read the full theory →

How It Works

The theory provides the structural expectations. The Parallax engine uses those expectations as a coordinate system for cross-domain comparison — the theory is what makes the comparison testable rather than metaphorical. The Parallax Discovery Program runs that engine systematically across 12 domains. A structural honesty system — five auditable rules discovered through real operational failure — keeps the findings independent of the researcher's expectations.

The project uses AI-assisted research production. A human researcher (Brett Westerlund) directs all analytical decisions. AI (Claude by Anthropic) performs delegated production work under governed constraints. Full disclosure accompanies all publications. All outputs are free and CC BY 4.0.

Frontiers

The theory was built to describe structural continuity across the persistence spectrum. It turns out to have implications in domains traditionally considered outside structural analysis.

Morality. The CHR program found convergence — the infotropic structural lens produces results about moral structure that converge with existing ethical frameworks rather than contradicting them.

Religion. Published structural analyses of religious coordination functions have produced genuine findings — including the structural succession relationship between religious and internet coordination.

Aesthetics. Domain research identified structural dynamics (constraint-freedom gradient, style as catalytic residual) that operate across artistic traditions.

These are active frontiers with real preliminary findings. Current boundaries and honest limits →
